- What is GeoVanguard Intelligence?
- GeoVanguard Intelligence is a specialist intelligence platform that connects next-generation geothermal innovation worldwide with markets in Japan and across Asia. It provides proprietary research and primary-source intelligence on cutting-edge technologies, policy and regulatory developments, capital flows, and commercial and economic viability. By integrating the technical, policy, financial, and economic expertise held by diverse industry participants, the platform produces practical intelligence that directly supports project development and commercialization. In doing so, it aims to advance the deployment of next-generation geothermal solutions and contribute to decarbonization throughout Japan and Asia, while promoting harmony with local communities and established industries.
- Who operates the platform?
- The platform is operated by GeoVanguard Energy Inc. For further information about the company, please see the “Company” page.
- What types of articles are available?
- Our coverage is organized into five areas: Next-Generation Technologies; Policy and Regulation; Financing and the Investment Environment; Community Engagement; and Research and Interviews. We publish analysis and commentary based on leading global case studies and primary-source materials, as well as interviews with industry experts and original research reports.
- What is next-generation geothermal?
- Unlike conventional geothermal power generation, which depends on naturally occurring hot water and geothermal reservoirs, next-generation geothermal refers collectively to innovative technologies—including Superhot Rock, Enhanced Geothermal Systems, and Closed-Loop systems—that can extract geothermal energy for power generation and heat supply even in locations previously considered unsuitable for conventional geothermal development.
- How often are articles published?
- We do not follow a fixed publication schedule. Our priority is the quality of each article. Updates on newly published articles will be provided through our newsletter.
- Is an English edition available, and does it contain the same content as the Japanese edition?
- All articles are available in both Japanese and English; please use the language selector at the top of the page. Wording may be adapted to suit each language, but the substantive content is the same.
Membership Registration
- Is membership registration free?
- Yes. Registration is free and gives you access to report downloads and our newsletter. The newsletter launch date will be announced at a later date.
- What information is required to register?
- The five required fields are your email address, name, company or organization, country or region, and password. Job title and department are optional.
- Can I register from outside Japan?
- Yes. You may register regardless of your country or region. Please select your country or region of residence on the registration form. You may also choose your preferred newsletter language—Japanese or English.
- Can I change my registered email address?
- Yes. You can change it at any time under “Edit Registration Details” on your account page. A confirmation email will be sent to your new address; open the link in that email to complete the process.
- What happens to my registered information after I cancel my membership?
- Once the cancellation process is complete, all registered information will be deleted and newsletter delivery will cease. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.
Login and Passwords
- I forgot my password. What should I do?
- Select “Forgot your password?” on the login page and enter your registered email address. We will send you instructions for resetting your password.
- I have not received the confirmation email.
- Please check your spam or junk mail folder first. If the email is still not there, please contact us through the inquiry form.
Reports
- What are the reports?
- They are specialist publications compiling original research conducted by our editorial team together with relevant statistical data.
- Can anyone download the reports?
- Reports are available exclusively to registered members. Membership registration is free.
- May I share a downloaded report within my organization?
- Yes, provided that the report is used by the registered member for business or research purposes. Prior permission is required, however, for redistribution to third parties or publication in a location accessible to the general public. Please see the Terms of Use for details.
Quoting and Reproducing Articles
- May I quote an article or feature it on my company’s website or social media channels?
- You are free to link to our articles. When quoting or introducing content, please identify “GeoVanguard Intelligence” as the source and include the URL of the relevant page. If you wish to reproduce an article in full or in substantial part, please contact us in advance through the inquiry form.
- I found an error in an article.
- Please let us know through the inquiry form. We will review the matter and make any necessary correction promptly. If a correction is made, the date and details of the correction will be noted at the end of the article.
Personal Information and Cookies
- How is my registered information handled?
- Your information is securely managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not provide, sell, or lease registered information to third parties.
- How can I change my cookie settings?
- Delete the cookies through your browser settings. The cookie notice will appear again the next time you visit the site.
